Last year this time we had the Steam Summer Sale but with June come and gone and heading into July now, more and more people are  wondering what has actually happened? Good to see Rockstar still fixing some of the issues around Max Payne 3. PC users on Steam should have the patch downloading when you restart the game and everyone else can grab it from their favourite DL site.

Don’t you love games that have been consolised then ported over to PC…. While looking through the patch notes I couldnt help but notice the words “Fixed reported issues of mouse acceleration affecting aiming“. Its good to see that in 2012 AAA titles cant even get the mouse working in a game…

I could be wrong, but I still have a bad feeling about Max Payne 3. Something tells me its all shiny and colourfull, but its not going to be the Max Payne of yesteryear. While the consolers already have access to the game, the PC release is still a few days away, to get you thinking about it,  Nvidia has released a performance chart for the game.

With Max Payne hitting stores soon enough it looks like Rockstar is pushing to get as much noise out there about the game prior to launch. One tactic which is sure to work is giving out free games.

I love the Max Payne series. I still remember jumping around in bullet time on the original Xbox, exploring the gritty city atmosphere and enjoying the great story line. Max Payne 2 was a worthy follow up and after a long enough drought, it looks like Max Payne 3 has been confirmed by Rockstar Games for a March 2012 Launch.
