For any Muslim out there, daily discrimination is nothing new. You kind of grow used to it and just take it as it is. At some point in your life you have actively done something about it, but then you just kind of let it slip by you again. It is not from not wanting to change the many incorrect perceptions about Muslims and Islam, its about getting worn down by the complete ignorance of others and the unwillingness to learn something new or accept that what they know about Islam is actually Incorrect. So when I came across this video of some brothers and sisters in America going up against Pamela Geller, I thought it was worth posting.
MuslimGamer.com has a readership that is truly global. Our recently opened forums have also been gaining traction with members from Trinidad to Turkey and from California to London. Australian readers will know of the Chaser boys. A group of guys that have had the one of the funniest shows on TV for a few years now. They used to have the Chasers War on Everything, then they had a show about the royal wedding and their latest show is The Hamster Wheel. Their latest episode had a great section on the Burqa.

Every now and then I found a pocket of the internet that makes me smile. Something that makes me say mashaAllah, something that makes me appreciate Islamic culture and Muslims just that little bit more. El-Seed has one of those sites and has those skills. Its not often I wish i lived on the other side of the world but this is one of those times. Id love to meet El-Seed and have a chat with him to find out more about him, but for now it will have to be made up of appreciating his beautiful artwork from here.
I have received a few emails from brothers asking about Muslim Gamer forums. I was planning on getting some forums up but to be honest, not till the site had matured a bit more, we are still in the baby\beta stage here. I can understand the need though, in a way its the whole reason I set this site up. I was browsing through some other forums to see how many other Muslim Gamers and Games there are out there and I came across a situation I felt pretty bad about.

Being Ramadan Im on the lookout for some wholesome things to read and watch about Islam rather than the non stop gaming im usually up to. Well to be honest more so watch as Im unbelievably lazy.. As I was looking around I came across this great video, as the title suggests, an agnostic Jew exploring the Quran.
I was thinking about my next post and as going to put a story up about some tech stuff and I decided that with Ramadan 2011 here I would instead post about my Hajj Pilgrimage last year. I am hoping that it will be an interesting post for both the Muslims and Non-Muslims that might visit the site.
