Deus Ex: Human Revolution no doubt has been a pretty big hit. The game hasn’t even been out for long and already new DLC has been announced on the Deus Ex blog. There aren’t many details out about the DLC yet and the blog post is pretty vague. From what we know so far, it will fill in three days of the storyline where Adam is trapped on a freighter with his augmentations left disabled. As for DLC, I know it has been said a million times before but ill add my voice to the broken record.
As gamers continue to lap this stuff up, it seems publishers are more than happy to release DLC so soon after a games release, it almost seems like the content has been pulled out of the game and pushed into DLC ready for the masses to eat up with their parents money hard earned money. When games like Modern Warfare’s extra Map Packs sell millions upon millions of copies, you can see why so many companies follow in behind them in the hope of making that quick buck.
Saying all that, you might be on the other side of the argument and be happy to pay for the extra content and willing to pay the $15 bucks for the extra few maps\levels. Up to you I guess. The last, and to be honest the only DLC I have ever purchased was the Armoured Fury & Special forces addons for BF2. It was released a while after Battlefield 2 initial release and the game was in need of some additional content, so I thought it was worthwhile. These days it just seems like the DLC is announced at the same time the game launches..
