After the success of Free to Play across the MMO world it looks like more and more are willing to try their luck witht he same strategy. Which is fine by me! Blizards Warcraft is free to level 20, Mythics Warhammer is the same and now you can add Rift to the list too.

Yet another game MMORPG that joins the free to play ranks. I am personaly  excited about this one as it has features that I really like about an MMORPG. You can kill anybody and that includes same race kills. You can declare war on other Clans and conquer fortresses. It reminds me of EVE Online… (with the exception of kill boards and space ships) I am definitely going to be checking this one out. Check out the announcement and trailer below.

CCP, developer of EVE Online, has recently announced that they will be laying off 20% of their staff as they will be going back to their roots and re focusing on the game that made the company what it is today, the  monster MMO, ‘EVE Online’.

NCSoft has just updated Aion to version 2.7 for the North American and European servers with the new patch including a new PvP instance, a new PvE raid for Alliance and numerous adjustments on PvP, quests, rewards, UI and more.

While many games go free to play to save themselves from the “remember that game” list, having played this game myself, I can tell you that DC Universe has a lot of potential, its just a matter of Sony actually putting that potential to use.
