I have to admit, I havent touched BF3 in a while. Its a shame really. The one game I had been waiting for for years and I was disappointed. The close quarters DLC announcement didn’t do much for me as I didnt want to play Modern Warfare. But now…now there is Bandar Desert!

Back before Battlefield 3 launched, EA and Dice promised BF3 owners Battlefield 1943 together with the game. though something happened soon after and they decided that they would no longer give the promised game but instead, they would be giving PS3 owners the Karkand Expansion 1 week early. As expected, PS3 owners weren’t too happy.

I have to admit, I’m having fun with Battlefield 3. I’ll also admit that along with 99% of others on the beta, there’s a lot of things I really don’t like about it. Much to the dismay of fans however, DICE seems pretty adamant that they are on the right track with a lot of their changes to the game.

With the open Beta for Battlefield 3 released into the wild, the marketing machine goes into overdrive. The good thing about that is we get more insights into the inner workings of DICE and BF3. In an interesting Q&A with Craig McLeod, who heads the team of game testers, and executive producer Patrick Bach, he answers a question in regards to Bad Company 2 as that he is ashamed of of the game?

I feel like I’m Dice’s press secretary today. For those eagerly awaiting the BF3 beta, September 29 is the date you will be let loose on the game. Set in Paris on the Operation Metro Map it looks like Rush is the game mode being played till the October release date.

With Battlefield 3 news coming out at a steady pace now it looks like Dice is trying to get players that might have stopped playing Bad Company 2 back into the series by announcing a new update. While it doesn’t have  any major gameplay changes it does list a bunch of bug fixes, some of which I am personally looking forward to.

What is it about Battlefield 3′s trailers. From the word get go they just seem provoke excitement. The mix of graphics, music and bzzz bzzz bzzzz, the latest “Guillotine” trailer which is the first official Xbox360 trailer, is no different.

Gustav Halling the gameplay designer for Battlefield 3 made an interesting tweet earlier today in regards to spawn points. All speculation at this stage as we only have the tweet to go off but it looks like there may be a change to the way we spawn in BF3.
