Last year this time we had the Steam Summer Sale but with June come and gone and heading into July now, more and more people are wondering what has actually happened? Well Valve has confirmed the Steam Summer Sale 2012 is coming, as for the date, well we have taken the best guess by looking at the details….

As gamers all over look for any signs and hints as to when the Steam Summer Sale 2012 will start, MikeBlaszczak from Valve confirmed via the steam forum that
“We are planning a sale sometime this summer. Hope that helps!”
- Apparently a dev said that the sale would run from July 12 2012 to July 23 2012.
- There was a temporary entry in the ‘specials’ section of Steam with a 25% off on Codemasters titles, a pack which has come every year so far. The end date on that was July 12th. So many gamers are suggesting that someone from Steam entered that date as the end date of that sale rather than the start. Due to the error it was then quickly pulled from Steam.
- Looking through the recent entries in the Steam subscription registry there can be 11 packs that can be seen. One of these includes the game “Killing Floor”. Interestingluy enough, the Killing floor event ends on the 23rd. Looking back on previous Steam events, Killing Floor usually has stuff that coincides with Steam Summer Sales.
- The Meet the Pyro event in TF2 ends on July 11 2012.
- July 12 is a Thursday and the Steam summer Sale 2011 and 2010 sales both started on Thursday.
