Gustav Halling the gameplay designer for Battlefield 3 made an interesting tweet earlier today in regards to spawn points. All speculation at this stage as we only have the tweet to go off but it looks like there may be a change to the way we spawn in BF3.
One of the most annoying things in any squad based game is being at one end of the map pounding away at the enemy, only to cop a nade and have to spawn back at base. Unless of course youre in a squad. So what do you do when all the squads in the game are all locked or full? Well one fellow Twitter user made this comment to Gustav Halling, the “Gameplay Designer – Battlefield 3 & BF3: Back to Karkand. Designer at DICE since 2006.”

When it comes to the idea itself, im all for it. Too many times I am unable to join a group due to the lack of availability. Then when I get shot down and I have to run the gauntlet to get back to where the action is, I end up in a rage quit and back to soothing more soothing like World of Goo.
