NCsoft has just announced that Guild Wars – Winds of Change is receiving its second chapter, the largest free content expansion in Guild Wars to date. Guild Wars was released in 2005 and its still going strong as this release will be adding a tonne of new  quests and zones to the game.

Nuclear Dawn is the new game by InterWave studios and is out now causing havoc on servers worldwide. What makes the game stand out from everything else out there is the unique blend of top down RTS commander management, blended in with FPS style gameplay. So Muslim Gamer has reviewed the game to see how the mix has turned out.

We have mixed feelings for the Witcher 2 here. Its a great game but unfortunately it has a low halalability score due to some of the content. Im sure you have heard about the Minecraft developers run in with Bethesda. A little while ago Bethesda’s lawyers decided that Mojang’s other project, “Scrolls”, was in fact infringing upon their clients  trademark in regards to Elder Scroll V: Skyrim. Notch took things well and despite having received a 15 page letter from the men in suits, he was tweeting and blogging that he was sure it would be fine. Lionsgate has today announced that it has secured the film rights to develop a feature film inspired by the recently released game, Dead Island. Now we all know how the usual game to movie adaptations turn out, rarely has it been a success or more so, has it reached the gamers expectations of what they would have liked. Could this finally be the “one”?

With all the talk of Dota 2 and Diablo III lets not forget about the immensely popular free to play League of Legends. I can just see the 15 million players jump for joy as the launch of the new capture and hold game mode for the battle arena game launches today.

Orcs Must Die! title kind of says it all really doesn’t it? Think tower defence but in a third person view, add a bunch upgrade paths for your weapons and a tonne of ways to…well….kill orcs! The guys over at Robot Entertainment have been working away on this for a while and as the release date is getting closer we thought we would shine a bit of light on this little creeper of a game.

I never thought I would see this one. Niko Bellic doing Jamaat salaat together with Altair from Assassins Creed, in Grand Theft Auto, in Indonesia. Yep, you read that right. Take a just a couple of those words and put them into a sentence and you would be questioning what I just said, let alone all of them together.

I just came across Nuclear Dawn and it looks like it could be very interesting indeed, it seems to mix the two of the game styles we love here, First Person Shooter with elements of RTS thrown in for good measure, and its based off of the source engine. 3 out of 3 ticks so far.

When I saw this I just had to re post it. It looks like a fan of DOTA 2 has put the one and only Gabe into the game, even giving him stats, skills guide and attributes, absolute gold!

The guys over at Frozenbyte have released a new video showing some very cool gameplay in regards to the puzzles in Trine 2. What caught my eye in the latest video were the colours and the scenery in the game, it almost took away from the puzzles as you just admire the backgrounds!

Salamualeykum! Over the last week I have come across a few Muslim game developers, which got me searching around the web to see how many there were around the place. Any thread I found seemed to end up in a dead end. So Im on the lookout for more!

Dota 2 was on plan to spend the next year in its Beta stages.  With Valve time that probably meant more than a year. But alas it looks like the community has been screaming loud enough to push Valve into getting their hands on the game earlier and it looks like Valve is all too happy to oblige.

I remember when I first heard about Good Old Games. I have to be honest and say I thought it was a noble idea but I wasn’t too sure how far they would make it… well looking at the latest news, they made it all right. In fact they made it so far that they are about to hit 6 million sales and will be celebrating with free games when they do!

THQ has announced that the devlopers behind Crysis, Crytek, will be making the next game in the Homefront series.

I feel like I’m Dice’s press secretary today. For those eagerly awaiting the BF3 beta, September 29 is the date you will be let loose on the game. Set in Paris on the Operation Metro Map it looks like Rush is the game mode being played till the October release date.

With Battlefield 3 news coming out at a steady pace now it looks like Dice is trying to get players that might have stopped playing Bad Company 2 back into the series by announcing a new update. While it doesn’t have  any major gameplay changes it does list a bunch of bug fixes, some of which I am personally looking forward to.

What is it about Battlefield 3′s trailers. From the word get go they just seem provoke excitement. The mix of graphics, music and bzzz bzzz bzzzz, the latest “Guillotine” trailer which is the first official Xbox360 trailer, is no different.

One of the reasons a lot of gamers and non gamers purchased the PS3 was due to the “Other OS” feature of the PS3, the ability to install linux or other operating systems on the console. Funnily enough, that particular feature, which Sony screamed loud and proud about, was later removed in an update. This resulted in a class action law suit against Sony as buyers wanted back what was rightfully theirs. Well in the latest update to the story, Sony are being  very a little sneaky in trying to gain the upper hand.

Region locking, the love of every publisher and the hate of every gamer. Region locking means we don’t always get the games we want, the version we want or the price we want. Some recent good news on the subject however  is that the PlayStation Vita will be region free.

While we might enjoy running around like a madman in games, games are fun and an escape from reality, not reality itself. Salamualeykum all! Last month we had the Eid game giveaway, which Kytan won.
