A survey conducted on 1000 industry types for the London Games Conference has voted that Apple founder Steve jobs was the most influential person on the video games industry?
I have no idea who voted this but its not my job to judge (not yet anyway), I just pass the news on to you the reader. So according to these 1000 industry types, Apple founder Steve Jobs was voted most influential person with 26 per cent of the overall vote (and 46 per cent of the top five winners’ vote). And Apple’s hero gaming device – the iPhone – received one in six (17 per cent) of the votes to take the most influential product moniker.
Now I cant see how you could class that as the most influential, so id rather call it according to these 1000 people, sometimes the easiest way to make a lot of money quickly is to develop an IPhone app and watch the casual gamers spend their $1.99 in droves so you can retire.
The top five people and products from the survey, which was carried out by the London Games Conference, which will be held on the 10th of November, , are below:

“In just over three years the iPhone and the App Store have transformed what consumers expect of games, and how the industry makes and sells them – today, download games have come to the fore. Steve Jobs, the iPhone’s driving force, was the ultimate independent developer – uncompromising in his vision, with unquestionable influence, and hugely artistic and commercial results,”
commented Michael French, editor in chief, MCV, the leading trade magazine of the video games industry.
I personally prefer the title being “The quickest way to make a buck” rather than the most influential, but hey, thats what the press release says…
