I was reading how ubisoft announed that they arent going to release Ghost recon Future soldire on PC either due to "Piracy" which is aload of @#$@#$.
The reason why they wont want to release it is becuase console peeps pay a lot more for games than PC gamers are willing too. A console player sees a $30-$40 game and says bargain! A PC player sees that price and says ill wait till it drops to $10-$20.
I think its a whole bunch of spin to say that consoles dont pirate when in relaity there is just as much piracy on consoles with chips.
The difference is PC gamers I think, have a higher expectation from games than console players. So its a lot harder for a game to be successful on PC than it is console. So when execs look at a game and say ok we can publish this on x,y or z, they go with which one they can make the most money out of with the least effort. Just my 2 cents.
