Sniper Elite V2 is very good. The enemy AI seem a bit dumb. I was expected more of a stealth shooter. How you find the Killcam?

The posts in this thread show the disarray of the Muslim Ummah in general. When people can't even stick to a topic and derail the thread whilst and moderators and Admins do nothing. Dissapointed! One of the reasons why I don't consider this a "gaming forum". I don't mind chit chat related to the games mentioned - I welcome that, but off topic chit chat is annoying for those who want to discuss the demos, in a thread clearly titled "The Latest Demo Thread"

    Please understand my POV.

welcome back again colonel. I can understand your frustration, topics definitely go off track here on MG, but its easy enough to fix too. Theres a report button on every post, when someone reports something, i take action. You have to understand I do a million and one things brother, I am not and can not be everywhere at once. But if its brought to my attention, ill do my best to resolve a situation.

In regards to MG not being classed a gaming forum, I guess that is all in the eye of the beholder. If its not a gaming forum, i am not quite sure what forum this is. Sure there are posts about everything else here but IMO the forum is predominantly about gaming with the user base having a shared religion of Islam, something that no where else ont he internet can be found. We are still young and still finding our place, inshAllah it will get better over time.

If the discussion was about religion or something relatively important, I would understand if people got mad at going off-topic.. but seriously? Can't we have a laugh every once in a while? I guess it depends on the person, maybe you take demos too seriously...

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying you can't have fun, but try to keep on topic. The entire second page (well most if it) is completely un-necessary.

WHAT? Disarray of the Muslim Ummah, are you kidding your self! Seems like you have never had a conversation or meeting, none of those two thing stay on topic that's what makes us human. were not robots that we only have one thing to do, so we have to stick to it. We cant stay on topic because the topic are broad, how much can you say about one thing.
e.g. lets talk about a pen, a pen has black ink you write on paper, is the paper any good, and is the paper killing trees, can wee sustain the trees.
see how of topic it went, it started with a pen and went to trees.

look brother if you want it to stay on topic then at least have some input to try to put it back on topic. if you only start a thread and don't come back to guide the thread then like sheep this thread will be all over the place, be the shepherd and guide the thread.

one last thing do not blame this on the dissary of the Muslim ummah.

    Alright, back to demos!
Just tried the Sniper Elite V2 demo and just like saqib I was very impressed! I MEAN VERY IMPRESSED.

The shooting is awesome. slomo is great and seeing lungs and livers get torn apart is even more satisfying than watching bones crack! just stop whatever it is you're doing and go download it.

the first Sniper Elite got very average reviews so i was disspaointed as I would have liked to play a good sniper game. Im hoping that this turns out a lot better as there is a real gap for sniping. All the FPS have sniping stuff int hem, but they are never full on sniping.

I find the "realistic" controls to be frustrating difficult or maybe they were meant to be that way. Using my semi-auto or pistol makes me feel like a loser though but getting those cool slow-mo sniper kills is great. The most memorable one I did was without using the R2 to get the red mark and picking off someone far away, bullet entered his head while he was hiding from sniper fire.

I guess there is some element of stealth in the game if you can pick up bodies but I didn't find this possible in all scenarios in the demo. Tough game though and not one I'd enjoy getting trounced on by other humans. xD

Just played the demo for Dragon's Dogma... I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS GAME DOESN'T SUPPORT MULTIPLAYER!!!

Co-op would've been perfect for this game! I will only buy it if they release some kind of multiplayer patch or something. it's a real shame :(

    once again revived by ahmad

so i decided to try the Riiiiidge Racer unbounded demo and i kind of enjoyed it a liiiiiiitle bit
the game has matured a bit. drifting isn't as easy as it used to be which is good, the driving is still isn't as good as other games; it's boring and unresponsive. and destroying concrete walls and blowing up big trucks by driving into them is a bad idea. i can't believe someone there said "hey! that would look cool and make the game much more fun!" IT DOESN'T
one thing that really caught my attention was the track maker (the advanced one). how many racers offer a track maker as complex as this one?
    Watch on youtube.com

overall, it's a below average game and i wouldn't buy it.

    moving on!
    Dirt: Showdown!
thanks to roktfiq and dabbaba i am now a hardcore dirt fan! (jk i'm still a noob)
i went and downloaded the demo for Dirt:Showdown and the first thing that struck me was how aggresive the game felt. even the menu is all WHOOSH BOOM KA-BAM. but -like dirt 3-, the menus were awesome as usual. enough about menus
the game is fun, enough said. it's not as deep and skill-based as dirt 3 but it is fun. it's much more arcadey and chaotic and would be great for online multiplayer (if only i found someone else playing the demo :/)
it also changed a lot, the tracks are much smaller and the demo only offered a circuit (i'm not sure if that's the case for the whole game) and driving felt much heavier... oh and one last thing: THE CARS HAVE HEALTH BARS

    moving on!
spec ops: the line! yay arabia in a videogame!
so this game takes place in a destroyed (natural disaster) Dubai and the story involves saving survivors and stuff.
you play as a super boring soldier with two cool partners (i forgot their names) and start the demo at the beginning of the story (i assume) where you have to enter the city.
    it's a good game.
the shooting is great, the graphics are great and the level design is just brilliant.
i recommend everyone to go check it out if you're into 3rd person shooters.
the shooting is definitely better than uncharted's and everyone seemed to like it
