Salaam, looking for dota 2 players.

    Postby Sufi » 04 Apr 2012, 02:47

Salaam alaikum, I play dota 2 frequently, I would love to play it with some muslims, so if you play dota 2, please add me on steam, my account name is: a.a.raja@chello.nl

I have a very old steam account so i can't add it to my profile, back in the day they still used emails for it, any way, please add me so we can play!

Wa alaykum al Salaam sufi, and welcome :)
Do you know if the stats from The beta get copied over to the released one?
    Peace :D

My expierence with betas is that the stats dont get transfered, besides, the system hasn't been fully implented yet because there are levels you can gain for winning matches, but that's at level 0 for everyone with out it progressing, now I don't know for sure but I think that the "commendations" you can give players, are going to get transfered but i am not sure. Commendations are a part of your profile, if you play a good game some one may be able to go into your dota 2 profile, and give you between one or four points, one point for each which are like "Good player" "nice player" "good teacher" "fun to play with", you can decide wether to give some one a point in each of these things, some may give you only a point for being fun to play with, and others may give you points for all of the ( "Good player" "nice player" "good teacher" "fun to play with") buttons, hope this information was to your liking, and let me note that i am not even sure if the commendations will be transfered over, but i am pretty sure the beta stats like wins and losses are not going to transfer over, Salaam alaikum.

Thank you for the information brother and it is very useful. I am afraid I am going to have to give it a miss. I hate untracked progress, it feels like there is no aim or goal, I'd rather wait until it is out.
    Peace :D

w.salam sufi and welcome to Muslim Gamer, inshAllah you can hang around and join the community :)

I remember seeing you register and not posting so i wasnt sure if you were a one hit wonder :P In regards to DOTA 2 i remember Valve mentioning that they wanted to make sure the community was a good one in the game. So by being a respected member there were out of game benefits too, free stuff and what not, so that good, nice, helpful player thing might be that?

Salaam Gengis, I haven't heard about the out of game benefits but it seems possible, makes sense they would give you gifts based on what you contribute to the community, but i am not sure.

I so hope that is true because I hear that community is really bad in MOBA games. There is nothing worse then everybody shouting at everybody that they are noobs and swearing and erm... urgh you know what i mean.

Salaam, I'm a big fan of MOBA games, play LoL a lot. Have not received a dota 2 beta invite yet, if I do I'll post so we can play some games. Looking forward to dota 2 being released, looking like a decent game.
