Cannot set Steam GamerTag

Salaam,

So I'm trying to enter my Steam gamertag thing into my profile, and it's asking for a number...

However, it says "To use this gamertag, you must register on steamprofile.com. When you have created your user you will have a page that has a URL string ?steamid=XXXX. The number in place of XXXX is your Steam Community ID." But when I go to the steamcommunity page, I can only find a steamid that is a NAME that I have set (Doshbot), no numbers. I think this feature must be for an older version of Steam.

Or am I doing something wrong?
