MashaAllah tabarakallah Kreax , may I suggest DA?

    Strengths:
    - Clarity of facial expression
    - Good choice of colour
    - Love the laptop -- such a cool looking laptop with just simple solid shapes and lines

    Opportunities:
    - Could have picked something stronger for the transition instead of a dotted line
    - Ditto for the background

    Edits:
    - Actually, none. :)

BTW, now that Find the Harf is solved, I will probably be submitting art more often.

aLeeNa_XD, yup, anything goes. The point is for constructive critique, motivation, and to help one another get better.

    awesome.
i'll start with an old painting i did. digital painting of a pyro.

    asdas.jpg

for this i was experimenting with the whole paint everything in grayscale and then add a color layer over it so you get the values right, but yeah.
now that its summer, i might be doing more practice like this and traditionally with ink.

edit: the part i don't think i did the best with was blending colors. i got carried away with the smudge tool -_-

Just to clarify, my point was structured, constructive, specific criticism with the goal of improving over time.

To pick on gengis, his comment of "what's a rabbit doing there" (in reference to my bird) could be better structured as "liked the bird head but the feet look wrong and the wings look almost like rabbit ears, draw them like X."

Or, see my review of Kreax's work.

I learned this approach from professional writing classes, and it works REALLY REALLY well.

Agreed. Love the blending of fabric (although the shoulder looks a bit weird), and the detail of putting the canisters. Not crazy about the mask or things in his hands.

    How about a fiery background?

Thats some good work right there Aleena, Im quite satisfied with the shading but the item in his hands seems to lack in comparison with the rest of the picture.

ashes999 yeah i wasnt too fond of the mask and axe either. but the person's pyro had that mask so i had to include it. i didn't want to include a background cause it would be too busy. i think i might do another piece though with a pyro and fiery background, though it is kinda cliche lol

@koubaDZ mhmm.. after i was done with the main body, i kinda slacked on the axe lol.

we should all get tablets and play draw my thing xD

    1. I couldn't tell it was an axe at first. I would add more of a contrast to the axe-blade and give it a mean-looking edge (see reference).
    2. The canisters look nice, but need a little more shading so that they look less 2D.
    3. The mask looks out of place, but I like it nonetheless. It adds character to an otherwise emotionless figure. Good job.

    The shading looks sweet! :grin
