Guys please don't turn this into another thread about Sunni vs Shia. Abrar I request that you kindly remove your post as it may offend some brothers on the forum, if not, moderators, please take action.

lol brothers you misunderstand what I am saying.

I am a muslim first and foremost, but we have different islamic school of thoughts not because we want to divide but rather because each school believes that they are following the true sunnah, because of different interpretation and hadeeths. And we shia believe all sunni's and wahabis/salafis to also be muslims.

So I am not saying any madhab versus any madhab, but rather I am saying it is important to point out whether all Sunni (hanbali, malaki, shafai and hanafi) madhabs agree on this and that you are not just posting your own believes only. So that they can either do their own research according to their interpretation / islamic school of thought / madhab.
    Peace :D

Point taken thulfiqaar. My point is that even if the madhaahib disagree, there are ahadith that talk directly about this issue. All four scholars who started their madhabs said "if you find what we are telling you goes against the sunnah of rasulullah, LEAVE IT, and follow the sunnah instead."

Anyway, Allah knows best about this. As I mentioned, qiyaas (analogy) is used after ijmaa (consensus of the scholars), so that implies automatically that there was no ijmaa on this topic; scholars differed.

My thesis is, after reading similar fatawa (fatwas) and the ahadith and opinions, I went in expecting a very strict response. I was told -- not a conservative opinion, or a liberal opinion -- but that this was a non-issue with digital. As if to say "why are you even asking, it's not even something you need to think about!"

    I was quite blown away.

I once bought tons of paint for the house we used to live in, in England. Loved that house to bits. But it wasn't ours and my mother was angry with me, had to refund the whole thing. The store staff was irritated that he had to put all the stuff back.

    Dumb move. Disappointed.

Siyaam wonderful abstraction of two lines + dome as a masjid. I love it.

But can we move away from a masjid (and the ka'bah) as a symbol of Islam? Come on guys, that's getting old. (Look who's talking -- first DG logo was a masjid, and almost every Islamic game I make starts with "there's a masjid ..." :P )
