That's what i was thinking but i assumed that i would be okay because other muslims are involved. Thanks for the heads up though.

Apologies for the late entry into the thread, i have been on holidays for the last week so havent had the chance to jump in on this thread.

Firstly, jazakAllah khair to Sondos for taking the lead on this sis, Im so stoked that the community has got to a point where things are just happening now!!! InshAllah you are rewarded for your efforts!!

It goes without saying, but ofcourse count me in!

In regards to the $20 limit, i like that there is a limit but i think that should be negotiable, but that is ultimately up to the person.

In regards to Edwardcullen and others being involved its a tricky one. Everyone from SCUM is of course invited to participate and I would love to publish this on the news site, FB, Twitter etc to get more involved, but it does make it tricky as we are dealing with unknowns. I hate to think who would want to cheat someone at Eid but Allahualem I guess. Let me know what you guys think and we can go from there, what ever the consensus is, we can go with that.

    Gimme an invite!!

    Lol love Edward Cullen!

I personally don't think unknown members should be allowed to enter. Active members and mumble members are welcome. I don't want to give gifts to trolls, no doubt there are loads online.

Don't forget, as Rizwan pointed out, it might affect the exchange's continuity for next year. We should have a successful launch, and experiment later!

To gengis, personally, I think it's fine if people go over or under the 20$ limit. You do what you want. But I dunno how the others feel about that. I think we should stick to having regular members be in the exchange, you never know who would see your link if it's advertised online and hate to admit it but some people out there are dishonest.

So far I've only sent the invite to people that have explicitly said they wanted to participate. Should I just send it to the regulars and emotionally blackmail them into signing up (kidding!)? No, but it would be so much fun if more people signed up, I've only got 3 people that have accepted so far.

s0ndosodn0s we should do a poll,

Set three of four price points which people can choose and make sure to include the price in the various currencies (GBP, USD, Euro's etc.)

I don't know about in America but in England the equivalent of $20 is like £12/£13 which tbh isn't a great deal, but then again i suppose we need to set a price that fits everyones pocket comfortably.

Also gengis I too agree that it should regular MGs and SCUMs only, the whole point of the secret imam is to bring us together as a community and share things with one another, if we invite next man to participate then the whole event isn't as good because we are letting people participate that we don't know:

    - I don't know them so i can't get them a well though gift.
    - They don't know me so they can't get me a well though gift.
    - All the people currently involved are people that we know and trust, If we invite anyone into it then there is no guarantee that those people will see the event through to the end of even fully commit themselves to (A lot of people will think this is a great idea and that they would love to get involved so they sign up, But I doubt that after signing up many of them would remember to come back and participate.)
    - I know most of the MGs and quite a few of the SCUMs so I have a rough idea of people likes and dislikes
(for example thulfiqaar would love for me to buy him a Men of War game and gengis is crazy about to do with Cooking Mama!), If we invite some randomer to get involved he won't know 'us'.
