    Asalaam! AngelaRaven here!

    Postby AngelaRaven » 13 Jun 2012, 08:39

    Asalaam brothers and sisters!

My name is AngelaRaven (not really, my name is Sara :grimace ) 28 muslim, gaming woman from Sweden.
I found MG when I was looking for nice buildings in Minecraft, especially Mosques. I decided to stay when I saw the friendliness you seem to have in this place.

I change my gaming frequently not to be bored and right now it's minecraft all day long (decided on the crazy project to build a city). Otherwise I play Skyrim to get my inspiration for my city in Minecraft.
Before that I went on a mission to remember my childhood and brought back goodies like Diablo I and II, the whole series of Monkey Island and also Grim Fandango.

I play mostly PC but I also have access to Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, PS2 and PS3. I do have and old NES somewhere in a closet that I'm thinking of bringing out.

Now, when I list it like that it doesn't look like I have much of a life, :what but actually, I've never had such a full life, filled with friends, since I started gaming more seriously. I hope to find even more friends here.

You are a true gamer girl! Look at all those gaming systems! Whats your spec for PC? Do you play high end games? Do you have a steam account?

Actually, the consoles came when I met my husband. I only had a crappy PC and PS2 for my kids before. He updated me quite a bit. He's a gamer more than me so we work well together. The whole family is a bunch of nerds I can prodly say. :lkj

Sorry to say but I don't play LOL, Battlefield or Diablo III at all. I'm not much for FPS-games even though I find them relaxing when I'm irritated. I play older FPS in that case like Battlefield Vietnam (it's fun to play together on LAN). LOL is something I not gonna try for a long time because.....I don't really have an excuse or answer, maybe sometime. Diablo III I only dream about. Can't afford it and don't want to pirate it.

My PC is portable but quite new so I think it can handle most things. When it comes to the technic part I'm not that skilled. It can play all the new games coming out and as long as it's still like that it's new enough for me :XD

I don't play PS3 all that much either. It's a new buy and mostly I use it to watch blu-ray and/or other movies. I guess somehow I'm waiting for the right game and some money to buy that game :amazing

Salamualeykum Sister! Welcome to Mgistan, where we promote Dawah through Gaming! (i thought of that the other day and have been waiting for the right moment to post, arent you lucky :P )

I see most of the crew here beaten me to rolling the "new member" carpet out. Its a bit like how all ethnic mothers have a cabinet with cups and plates that no one is ever allowed to use... well we have this carpet that we use for new members ;)

Good to see sondos and Aleena our resident sisters have already welcomed you too! Just watch out for Thulfiqaar, he puts on this really helpful facade, but will only ever link to threads that he has a personal interest, shifty bloke that one ;)

I don't think he will be joining in here any time soon.

He is not the religious type and to specifie to a muslim gaming site would be too much for him even though I'm sure he would enjoy it.

Plus, I think he would want to give me freedom and privacy, so to join here and watch my every move would not feel good for any of us.
