How Often Do You Buy Games?

Just a simple question but I wanted to know how often everyone buys games these days. I used to get at least a game every month (sometimes two in a month) and more so on the Nintendo DS but lately the DS market has died out (3DS - not interested in anything for it atm) and nothing really sticks out for me on the PC or PS3.

I'd say I buy a brand new game every three months not counting the Humble Indie bundles that are too cheap to pass on and they don't take up any physical space in my room (another issue with hoarding games from the NES days D:).

hard question to answer becuase im not consistent either. For example the last few months its been a couple a month, prior to that one month it might be 1 a month others a few.

Being a PC gamer gives me the advantage of sales. Last year during the Christmas sales I think i purchased about 30-40 games within a month and spent maybe $100-$150. Then i spend the next 6 months playing some of them.... I still havent got through them all.

Games for me are a bit like a collectors hobby thing. I like the idea of having a shelves full of games which is why i always prefer box over digital download. Plus I like the idea that i can gift them to my nephews or lend them out to friends to play.

tldr; i put every 2 weeks but it changes depending on the season

Same answer as Gengis, except for the shelves as I don't have a room designated for my gaming hobby.. YET! I am inshallah moving to another house soon and then I will have my own designated gaming room with a shelf .

Every 2 weeks but it really varies on the deals out and the games coming out.

I really don't buy that many games, maybe 5/6 per year for the consoles.

Most recently, I bought the Dead Space pack. Too good of a deal.

It all depends on the Steam sales. Its getting worse now, since we are getting daily deals. And 2 on the weekend

I'm now saving up for Steam year end sales. Aiming for Dragon Age series, Assassin's Creed (Brotherhood and hopefully Revelations) and Mass Effect 2 (plus all the DLCs).

I bought Skyrim this year and Supreme Ruler 2020 Gold last year... so, not that many. I think the 'a year..' option would work. I do trade games with friends whenever one of us finishes one, but I don't think that counts.

@uluscuturk we have a free game here everymonth and the sales are coming up soon too, so there will be lots of very cheap games. Look at this thread too ( viewforum.php?f=52 ) for cheap games or if you want a cheap game ask and i can find it for the cheapest price

I am done for the year, still playing Skyrim so that should last for a while. The next game I am going to get is Mass Effect 3 which is coming out in March.
