With so many posts flying around and with so many members it can get hard to keep track of both what you say and who you might offend so I decided to make this thread.
The point of the thread is to provide a place to say you're sorry or to initiate amends between people. Yes, you may not always want to do this publicly but doing so does also promote a sense of openness and provides an example for new members who may not know how things flow around here.
This was also slightly spurred my a khutba I heard today at juma where the Imam said that its always better to go and say you're sorry to those you may have hurt through your words.

Anyway, Id like to start. I apologize for any frustration, anger, or offense I may have caused through my posts.

When I was in high school a teacher of mine told me that no words have the same meaning. He gave the two words: sorry and apologize, as examples. He claimed that saying sorry meant that you would never do it again and that apologizing was making amends but not guaranteeing that you wouldn't do it again. I still keep that in mind when I speak and reserve "I'm sorry" for when I REALLY mean it. We aren't perfect and we sometimes make our mistakes twice. We're only human.
