MineCraft help!

First off can someone PLEASE add me to the muslim gamer minecraft server...please :'(

Another thing. I had my own server going for a while and it was just a simple java one that you get from minecraft.net and it wasn't anything special but it worked. I recently wanted to make it better and be able to do more as an admin so I switched over to craftbukkit admin tools and now my server won't work. So craftbukkit uses its own thing and not the javacript app that minecraft.net gives you so whenever I turn on my server it gives me a message (failed to bind to port, perhaps there is already a server on this port?)

I tried endlessly to figure out what is going wrong and after so many hours I was finally able to load the server. BUT now for some reason my port remains closed to outside ppl. I can connect to the server and play but no one else can connect to it because my port isn't open. Can anyone help me with this, its been eating me alive for some time now...

about the port binding thing, that just means you have another server running with the same port, that causes issues. either way though, Minecraft assigns its own port regardless of the error.

Port forwarding is with your router, so yuo have to log into your router and edit the settings there.

Also: there is no whitelist.. and both you and zaid have been added already.

Quit disabling the whitelist! Its there for a reason abrarsyed!!!!

Because the default member class is broken and it means we can get griefed/trolled really easily. The whitelist isn't permanent. Only until we officially launch.

Also please ensure zaido and Bloodmoney can play even with the whitelist. Whats the point of the server if muslims cant even join and play??

At the moment the mosque is destroyed, the whole spawn was plagued with npc villagers and there were huge craters everywhere. I've managed to manually repair most of the damage except the mosque (its a work in progress), i've simplified the mosque to make it look better and easier to fix (who needs a minecart to taking them 100 blocks?). If you say the permissions are working i'll take your word for it abrarsyed but the otherday i went online (assuming a whitelist was in place) and there were a load more npc villagers and this lava tower (@koubadz?)
