Thieves Guild: Skyrim

I am not really liking the thieves guild quests in Skyrim. Normally when you steal something in-game it is for a reason, a "greater purpose" but with the thieves guild it just seems to be about making money and I don't feel like doing that.

What are your thoughts on the thieves guild quests ?

I haven't played the previous Elder Scrolls game so not sure what they were like in those games. And don't get me started on Maven Black-Briar, I hate that woman.

Your not really a thief if your stealing for a purpose, your a thief because you steal to make money.

I haven't really done much in the game, but when character says something I don't like I just kill them its so much fun getting chased by the whole town or clan
