What Just Happened? The End of ME3 Confessionals (Spoilers)

A video about the contraversial ending in Mass Effect 3. It's a really really good video explanation of the ending that you should check out if you have already finished the game. Even if you are just curious about it but not really interested in playing it.

I'm a longtime GameSpot user... I've not bought ME3, but I believe GS have an obvious apologetic bias when it comes to the ending.

Maybe but this video shows different opinions both good bad and neutral about the ending of me3. It's the reviewers that are commenting. I have finished the game and thought it was quite interesting as I learned it's not necassarily 3 endings only, it can be only one or 2 endings etc. So it all comes down how you played the game.

lol I still dont think it was that bad a game or ending. Sure you didnt really see much a difference between the few but lol it isnt like they had a complete cliff hanger like the ending of Halo 2. I nearly killed someone the day I finished that game...

I personally still think it was an amazing ending. I absolutely fell in love with it. Cinematics however would have been nice to see more differences and to find out who the reapers were and how they came to be etc.

Isnt that explained though? If what we saw wasnt an indoctrination and was a real explanation then it was that being of light (the little boy) that created the reapers. The reapers assimilate all the most advanced beings of the galaxy and in doing so only get stronger and smarter. They leave all the young races alone to grow but come to terminate them when they get too powerful. Thats why the cycle made sense but then it was broken through the efforts of Shepard. lol I almost wanted to let the reapers do whatever they wanted. Haha.

My one issue though is lol - who the hell are these beings of light and why arent THEY worth keeping under control.

Exactly that is the question I had. How did they come to be? And why did it have to be the annoying little kids shape lol
