Universal messenger

Is there Universal messenger that includes skype for pc? not mobile? is there universal messenger that supports skype as well? for pc not mobile. I downloaded nimbuzz but it woks with skype only on mobile not pc. I would like to have all my contacts under same, one messenger and I use skype the most. Thanks!

I know Pidgin works with pretty much everything, but I don't know about skype... you may also want to try Digsby.
