As may of you know, I built a really nice gaming rig back in february and I have been enjoying its flawless performance for the past three months. That is, until yesterday.
What happened, you ask? Simple, i tried sli. I married my 560ti 448 core with a second of its kind. At first I had a few driver related hiccups. It started giving me bothersome display problems, so i did what any sane person would do, i threatened that if it didnt shape up, I would turn it into a toaster (actually, i just ran a system restore).
It worked! Drivers updated, cards sli'd. Super! So I thought...
I started to get BSODs left and right. So i disabled sli, and divorced the cards. And figured my adventure should end there for the time being. Only, my computer thought otherwise.
I then recieved 6 different BSODs, one soon after the other. Most pointing fingers at ntoskrnl.exe.
Ranging from bad memory, bad sector, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL; Stop codes 0A, F4, 24, DE, etc.
I suspected memory, hdd, or mobo hardware problems. Or driver problems (inshaAllah, this) I reinstalled Win7 just to give it a clean slate, and it gave me a BSOD on the very first start up.
This has been a real nightmare. Im not too sure what to do. I can usually handle BSODs every now and then, but this is the worst situation I have ever encountered. It all started with a simple driver error... At least everything is still under warrenty.
Advice? thulfiqaar, gengis,
[/url] I think running sli unearthed some hardware problems in my PC. Help!
Im typing this from my ipod touch. At least mobile site works nicely.
