its like our mothers are opposites! D:
she always wants my brother to wear a thobe but he always wants to go shopping for new clothes -_-
yeah she's pretty set on that. i've *threatened* to wear a thobe once or twice if she didn't give me something i wanted lol
get your bro a Kamani thobe, i think they're having a Ramadan sale and their selection is progressively growing for guys and kids. their website (wwww.kamanionline.com) is sort of appealing b/c i occasionally see the guys in the pictures at the masjid (not that these guys go to the masjid occasionally but that they just happen to be at the same 1 i'm at at the same time b/c there are alhumdolillah several choices of masjids to attend in the area)
looked at website
cant handle all dat swag
daaaaaaayyuuuummmm.
those are NICE. im so jealous that the guys have pockets on their thobes, it would be so great if most abayas had pockets. no need for a purse ¬__¬
those aren't just normal pockets, they're about double the size on many of them!
you know for Eid while I was growing up, the community would have some major get-together for the kids and have some games and prizes for them. also, 1 of the aunties (usually it was 1 of 3) who would host a brunch after the Eid Salaah and invite everyone for a potluck. And then that same night someone else would invite everyone for dinner. It'd be the same lesson every year: spend 1 month losing weight so that the very next day when the month is over, you can set yourself up for gaining it all back :-]
