    I guess, i'll start here :D

Personally, i like diablo way more than torchlight.. i played the first torchlight and it was fun at first but later it turned very repetitive and boring.. and from what i've seen on youtube about TL2.. i really can't see much of a difference between the first TL; same cartoony graphics and feel.. it's just being more and more D3 clone, even the UI !!

I heard that some of the old blizzard north members are working on TL, but still as long as the current D3 team is keeping the same old diablo theme and feel, i'll go for that.

The things what are somewhat annoying in D3 is the "no lan" capability and the "always online",.. but i understand their worries. they are fighting piracy, and we can't really blame them for that! , also i think starcraft 2 is the same in terms of "always online" so i guess i got used to it :D..

One other thing i hated so much about TL2 , the release date, i remember seeing a vid on youtube, last November i think, and the game developer talked about a December release!.. i really could have thought seriously of getting the game back then, but they pushed the release date just to follow blizzard.. That was really a bad move! i mean if they were ready for release why not just do it!!?

My guess is D3 will own TL2, if TL2 was released back at December it would have attracted a lot of "waiting for D3 players"..

-- I have to mention too that i played D3 in the open beta weekend, and it was SOOO GREATT!! :D

I am on the same boat as Akoush except for one thing. I LOVED TOCHLIGHT and I am going to get both games. As far as i am aware the reason they pushed the game back was because it wasn't ready not because they are waiting for Diablo 3 but yea it's completely stupid to actually wait for diablo 3 to be released first. Diablo 3 will own Torchlight when it comes to sales. I will still get both though, great gameplay mods and only £15 on release? oh hell yeah!

oh and there is something wrong with your list. The real money trading auction house is a GOOD THING and shouldn't be on the cons list.

    *EDIT*
scratch the last comment, its not a cons list only lol
    Peace :D

I may get this game to be honest, as it's fairly cheaper than D3, but not before at least "finishing D3 with all 5 classes" lol.. i don't want to get 2 games at the same time that's plays the same, will get bored fast you know ;)

Maybe we could play TL2 together thulfiqaar after grinding D3 first! :D

That's not much of a comparison seeing as D3 only has cons listed and Torchlight 2 has only pros.

I think Torchlight 2 is going to put up a fight with Diablo 3, especially given its price point. Given how TL1 played and how D3 was in the beta though, D3 came across as the clear winner in my book.

Runic Games is being smart about releasing Torchlight 2. It knows that D3 is coming and wants to get its name out there more than get the sales out there. They know they are technically competing but dont play as if they think they can win. They probably want to get all the stragglers that dont buy D3 but still want an action RPG experience like D3.

I think Ill probably getting both. Especially if Im in the mood for more after finishing D3. I think they're also hoping that everyone will be done with the SP of D3 by the time they release so they can take advantage of that desire from people. It all makes perfect sense. I saw some gameplay for Torchlight 2 just recently and it actually looked pretty decent. Not as boring and repetitive as Torchlight.

I never finished Torchlight but I feel like theres much more value in Torchlight 2 with the co-op thats included. If theres a good deal on a 4-pack later on Ill get it for both my computers and co-op with the siblings too. :D.

The best thing Diablo series has always offered is replayability, so it's never about just finishing the game when it comes to Diablo :D at least for me.. and blizzard really did a great job improving and building upon this feature making it more fun and appealing; each difficulty now has it's own armor sets and items which you can't get in a previous difficulty.

Also this new difficulty they added, "Inferno" sounds like fun and a real challenge, so i am sure i will keep playing this game like 10+ years from release lol, or until an expansion comes out :D

The auction house thing actually turns me way off. The fact that 15% is going toward the developers falls under greed in my book. It's worse than DLC.

I may pick up D3, but only on sale . And only after I get through my list of games "yet-to-be-played".

You don't have to use the real money auction house if you don't like it. And you get to have 2 free ones a month anyway
