I don’t want to take the spot light from our newest addition to the team here at Muslim Gamer, but I did want to welcome Sondos from Canada. Sondos will be focusing on mostly PS3 news and anything else that takes her interest. So without any further delays
As we stand in the last few days of its release date, Assassin’s Creed fans may finally rejoice on Tuesday. It has been announced that it is the last game to feature Ezio Auditore da Firenze and AltaïrIbn La’Ahad, though players can also look forward to a unique multiplayer experience.
The multiplayer mode in Revelations is bringing a much richer experience than its predecessor, Brotherhood. The multiplayer will be offering players new game modes, characters and locations. Ultimately, it will be offering an entirely new experience. Here are just a few key elements of what players can expect that are new to multiplayer:

Ranking up: Leveling up in the game will remain standard as it does in most multiplayer games. You get experience points and unlock new abilities as you progress. One major change is that there will be a story incorporated into the gameplay and leveling up will unlock elements of the story. Players will be able to, for example, take a look at Templar files or learn more about Abstergo as they progress. Evidently, taking part in the story is entirely up to the player, and will not interrupt matches. Considering this new feature, players can except to level up pretty fast in comparison to Brotherhood. Once the player achieves level 50, players may keep going, as they will enter prestige loops and continue to unlock bonuses.
More customization: Players have a lot more control over their characters appearance. Their heads, chests, arms, legs, belts, accessories, colors and weaponry can all be changed. Different weapons also means there will be more variety in character animations related to the attacks. Players will be able to create custom emblems that will appear on their character’s back. Asides from the aesthetic customization, players will be given perks, abilities and streaks. The difference in Revelations is that players are given these from the get-go. This was really done to avoid running and gunning style gameplay that came up in Brotherhood, as players didn’t have abilities to figure out the various strategies to the gameplay.
Strategy is key: Revelations is sure to be a true test of a players ability to strategically plan out their attacks, defence, and movements. There was a lot of disappointment evoked by players of the Brotherhood multiplayer game. The most concerning being the lack of strategy used by certain players. As a result, aggressive attacks on targets gave players less points for a kill and made it more difficult to defend themselves. And so, Ubisoft has put certain things into place to discourage this type of gameplay. For example, the ‘Honorable Death’ bonus is awarded to a player who attempts to stun a pursuer, but is killed as their pursuer performs an assassination. Carefully planning an attack and taking it slow in certain situations is a far better strategy and will earn a lot more points. Players will have to figure out which situation will benefit from a more stealthy approach or when a chase/getaway is necessary.
These are just a few of the many new features of the Revelations Multiplayer. It looks very promising in offering something unique and new and is so far looking like a big step up from Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Will it live up to the hype? All we can really do is wait and see.”
