Please welcome the newest social netwroking, casual gaming, cross platform, yes we are trying that thing too site… GFACE! Crytek are dipping their feet into the world of social networking.
I am not quite sure why CRYTEK are going down this path as many have tried yet few have succeeded. CRYTEK have launched a site for GFACE and you can sign up for the betaif it sounds like your kind of thing. The screenshots do pretty much look like yet another social networking site so how will they get you to use it?
One of the cool sounding features is instant access to games and entertainment. Where they are all streamed directly to your browser without the need for downloads or installs care of the Seed Engine. Defined as a “realtime cloud based technology platform”, the engine seems to embrace torrent technology in a more legal format. If they can pull it off, i guess the entertainment factor is something they could have over Valves Steam?
