I have to admit, I’m having fun with Battlefield 3. I’ll also admit that along with 99% of others on the beta, there’s a lot of things I really don’t like about it. Much to the dismay of fans however, DICE seems pretty adamant that they are on the right track with a lot of their changes to the game.
One of the major complaints is in regards to battlelog and the lack of controls in game for squad control. While console players have been able to pick choose and change their squads in game, PC players have been stuck to what ever random squad the game decides is best for them. DICE wanted us to organise our squad before we entered the game through battle net and play that way. If you have played the beta for any decent amount of time, you know how annoying that is. Well according to PC Gamer DICE employee Bazajaytee has said,
“In short answer form, yes you can browse and join squads through the squad screen and make private squads. The full form will be available later,”
There is still no mention of squad switching so for that we will have to wait and see.
