I feel like I’m Dice’s press secretary today. For those eagerly awaiting the BF3 beta, September 29 is the date you will be let loose on the game. Set in Paris on the Operation Metro Map it looks like Rush is the game mode being played till the October release date.
One side will be taking the offensive by attacking M-COM stations while the opposing squad defends and protects. It looks like Dice and EA are making the beta open to both console and PC gamers so sick days should be booked in nice and early. For those of you who have pre-ordered the digital PC version of the game at through Origin will be granted early access to the beta, starting on September 27, 2 days earlier than the rest. In addition, all customers that pre-ordered a Limited Edition of Medal of Honor will also receive early access to the beta starting on September 27.
Battlelog, the game’s free social media network will also be available for players to test and have a look around in. EA are also enticing players to join the EA Gun Club with the offer of access to the M1911 pistol and distinct badges in Battlefield 3. The M1911 pistol will also be available to registered Battlefield veterans.
Battlefield 3 hits retail stores on October 25, 2011 in North America.
