AhmadSA’s Journey From Console to PC Gaming

PwMHAl

The resident clown on the Muslim Gamer Forums recently transitioned from his beloved PS3 console to his shiny new PC. What we like to call a revert gamer around this here PC town. So we put the challenge out to him to keep us updated as to what it was like to go from a controller to WASD. After much waiting, its finally here. The first installment and published article from our 16 year old Saudi clown, AhmadSA’s Journey…

This is WHY I STILL LOVE MY PS3!!

Salamu Alaikum

So as some of you know I started playing PC games a while back and as Gengis would say, I “REVERTED”. He asked that I make an article – or a few – about the whole experience.  At first I really thought would leave the PS3.  EVERYONE here kept saying how “PC is the best thing ever”, “Once you pop you won’t stop” or “I used to be a console gamer like you then I was shown the light that is PC gaming”. So I thought “Hey, there’s no chance ALL these people are wrong!”.

So I admit, PC has some great features, but at the end of the day, I still prefer consoles. Not to mention that the PS3 is only $250 without needing to upgrade every now and then.

Multiplayer

Everybody knows that PC gamers are the most hardcore and to them we console(ers?) are the noobs. And I agree, most console gamers are CASUAL gamers. Which is a good thing because this makes me enjoy multiplayer games, i’m not much of a pro and I change games very often. While PC gamers seem to stick to games for YEARS! Diablo, Warcraft, Counter strike, Team fortress 2, QUAKE,  the list goes on.

There are so many PC games that are a few years old but still have an active player base due to its passionate players. C

Communication on PC is much better, people actually plan their approach and communicate whether via text or voice chat. On consoles everyone is on his own. I was playing TF2 the other day and the whole team was yelling: “Ahmad! over there! over here!” I have to admit, it really felt like TEAM WORK.

When I play on the console, team work SUCKS! Playing an objective-based game is super frustrating!

Controls.

I personally prefer Console controllers. They’re small, simple and tight. Unlike Keyboards and mice(?) where everything is scattered everywhere and there are a million buttons. I know that I can use a controller. which proves my point icon razz AhmadSAs Journey From Console to PC Gaming

Games.

I know the PC has a lot of great games. Mostly MMORPGs that you can’t find anywhere else and strategy games icon e sad AhmadSAs Journey From Console to PC Gaming No one makes Strategy games for the PS3 any more. We only have something like 10 of them.

But that doesn’t mean the PS3 doesn’t have good games. One of the biggest advantages of having a PS3 is the exclusives we get. Sony has tons of amazing exclusives, and I’m not just saying that because i’m a fan.

They own more than 20 studios, which are all awesome and don’t say ”But the PS3 is very old it has ugly graphics lololol”. The PS3 is still gorgeus even when it comes to graphics.

The above picture isn’t CGI and its an older game too.

Soooo… I already talked too much. Maybe i’ll continue this later. I have nothing on my mind right now.
For now, Thanks for reading my long boring useless article icon razz AhmadSAs Journey From Console to PC Gaming

The article title is flawed. The Journey was from the PS3.

The xbox 360 has party chat and everyone is actively talking especially in games which require coordination like bf3.

      I would imagine a PS3 to be a console ;)

When most people bought their Xbox 360s they came with a free microphone so that is why there is more teamwork going, On the PS3 you have to buy a bluetooth headset yourself which just adds confusion.

I think that on the PC most game are old enough not to be annoying (Parents don’t buy their 8 year olds £600 gaming rigs instead of a £150 xbox)

Okay, we apologize for the misconvenience.
